Denmark's currency is called the Danish Krone (DKK). Despite being a member of the European Union, the Danish government ratified the Maastricht Treaty in 1993 on the condition that they keep their own currency, thus being exempt from using the Euro.

An account for receiving public money
A NemKonto (EasyAccount) is a bank account through which you receive any public payments; state benefits, refunded tax, public salary etc. The law requires everyone in Denmark to assign one bank account as their NemKonto. It is easy to assign one and even foreign accounts are accepted.
