You can extend your permit by one year

• Hi! According to the new law, you can extend your residence permit for one year after you've finished your studies. Note that this is NOT a work permit, but it allows you to stay in Germany to search for a job after university. If you find a job, you (or your employer) will then have to apply for a work permit, which will be granted according to the normal procedure.
  
  It's not a perfect solution, but at least it's easier to at least find a job while you're still in Germany... Good luck!!!
