Renting flats

• I understand anyone can sublet their flat in Germany and there are no hard and fast rules about renting. I have a friend here who is writing a thesis for a UK university course - he's skint and had no trouble renting. He's got a place for about 300 euros a month in a central location and I have heard of people paying half that. Good luck anyway.
