  • AM I ELIGIBLE FOR BRITISH CITIZENSHIP?

I think I should just add that my mothers parents are both British(white english) and were born in Britain. So were their parents and so on. Also, I was born in the year 1982. Any answers to my query will be much appreciated.

I am not sure, but if your mother is British I would have theought you would be entitled for citizenship. I am not sure though so I hope someone can come up with a definite answer.

  • to Mr.Qatar

Iam quite sure that a son can adobe his mother nationality. My Mother was born in Hongkong (British colony before 1997). therefore she is hongkong citizen and also british national overseas citizen..but I was born in Nepal but now iam in hongkong and now i have hongkong ID card...now have applied for British passport and ill b there same way i got here in hongkong..so i am tellin you a Son can Adobe his Mother Nationality but i have daud that your age is over..iam sure that it would have been very easy for you to get in uk if u have tried it before 10 yrs..but now u r 26 yrs so iam not sure of that....caz i think that the sons age should not cross 21 or 22 to adobe his mothers nationality...

My mother and father migrated to britian in 1970s and became british nationals. I couldnt accompny them then and still live in Pakistan as a Pakistani national. Am i eligible to apply for British nationality.

Well seing as you are half english, it seems ludicrous to me if you are not eligible for British nationality. But Im not too sure of the crazy laws in this country anymore.

Saeeda I would say the best thing for you is to tell your family to buy or rent a home/live in the city of Birmingham in the UK and then you should get yourself a visa or biritish citizenship and come and live in Birmingham in the UK with your family with free benefits ok. Hope this helps you.
