I moved from Michigan to Ontario (more than 50Km) and I had to be audited. I must say that I had nothing to hide, however they (Canada Revenue Agency) made me search for the very last receipt!

tax credit validity > 50Km
Most provinces require that you move at least 50Km in order to be able to request credits.
