Visa by marriage
-
Hello,
Hello,
I`m German, living in Tokyo at the moment, but planning to take my Japanese boyfriend to Germany next year. Does anybody know if he can stay without problems if we marry? (we want to marry anyway, so this is not just trying a trick). Has anybody experiences with Visa-problems of bi-national couples?

Marriage = no problems
Hi Julia!
As far as I know, you shouldn't have any problems at all if you marry. Being married to you, your boyfriend even has the right to get a work permit in Germany. Just be aware that the paperwork might take some time, so it's best to contact the German embassy as soon as possible to get it going.
Good luck for both of you,

Marriage in Germany
I have somewhat of a similar situation. My boyfriend is German and lives in Berlin. I am an American living in the US still. We plan to marry as well and I was just wondering if that would mean I wouldn't have any problems moving there and finding a job.
This long distance relationship is very difficult and we just want to get married and be together. I assume that I have to go to Germany to get married? Problem is I am not living there right now so how soon after we marry can I permanently remain?Anonymous 01 dic 2004, 04:09 - Denunciar -
Anonymous 24 dic 2004, 03:53 - Denunciar -
