GSM vs. CDMA

• I just moved to Canada and I am seeking to get a mobile phone. Coming from Asia I loved my GSM phone, but north americans seem to prefer CDMA phones. Could somebody tell me what is the difference?

• Go with GSM in Canada

  Nothing else is really worth the trouble. CDMA and EVDO have limited compatibility and coverage outside of Canada and carriers such as Rogers have excellent coverage throughout the country.
